Letter of Introduction

Dear Stark Elementary Staff, Families and Stakeholders,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself. I was born in Austin, Texas. When I was eight years old, my father retired from the Air Force, and we moved to Franklin, Tennessee to be with family. In Tennessee, my father began a second career as a farmer. My parents are now retired and live in McDonough, Georgia.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was little, I would line up my stuffed animals and teach for hours. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. I have 21 years of experience in the field of education. Eighteen of those years was as a teacher, and I have more than three years of administrative experience. Throughout my years in education, I have enjoyed the opportunity to use my skills as a teacher and leader to impact the lives of so many children.

I have been blessed with an amazing husband for 17 years, two wonderful stepdaughters, a great son (in-law) and PERFECT GRANDSON! I have many hobbies and things I enjoy doing. During the summer, you can find us soaking up the rays on Jackson Lake. I enjoy duck hunting and bow hunting white tail. I also love riding on the back of my husband’s Harley Davidson wherever he wants to go! Most of all I treasure time with family/friends and of course going SHOPPING!

In July of 2016, my husband and I bought a house in Jackson. We immediately felt we had come home!  So, I am beyond excited to be chosen as the leader of Stark and begin this journey with each of you. I cannot wait to meet my Stark family. I look forward to working with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders as we provide learning and life experiences that maximize the individual potential of all students so they are prepared for a productive future.

Educationally yours,

Shannon Daniel
