I graduated from the University of Georgia (Go DAWGS!) with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Child and Family Development.  I earned my Masters in Educational Technology from Troy State University.  I am also certified to teach special education K-12.

I began my teaching career in Clayton County where I taught 2nd grade for 3 years.  The state developed the Early Intervention Program (EIP) in 2000, and I started teaching EIP that year, as well.  In 2001, I moved to Henry County, and I taught the next 16 years at East Lake Elementary.  Twelve of those years were spent teaching EIP, three were in special education teaching children with specific learning disabilties, and the last 3 were in an Autism 1 classroom.  I have loved every adventure of my career.  I am excited to be in Butts County and back in my favorite role - EIP teacher!

I am married to an awesome man, have 2 wonderful sons, a sweet dog and a bearded dragon.  I have been teaching for over 20 years, and I have a great love for children.  A few of my favorite things are coffee (Starbucks), purple, Minions, music, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  I love teaching and reading aloud to my students is one of my favorite things to do.  My favorite children's author is Patricia Polacco.
